Note: these steps apply to both snapcharge and non-snapcharge wireless chargers. If you don't have a snapcharge to go with your grip (just the thought of that scares us 😱😱), then be sure to get one from our site today. 

1️⃣📞 Phone Compatibility

Use the power of Google 💻 to ensure that your specific phone brand & model is capable of wireless charging.

We know it's 2023 and you may be 😂 at the thought of having a phone that doesn't have wireless charging, but all mobile phones are on a journey and some smart phones may not live in this fun, air-charging world.   

2️⃣🔌Power Brick and Connections

We'll warn you up front: we're not mathematicians. However, one equation we do know is no power = no charge, so be sure to check your connections, ensuring that you've got the juice. 🧃 Snapcharge requires a 15W power brick to work (the Apple 5W brick is a no go). 

3️⃣📲An Off-centered Grip 

"To be unclear is to be unkind" - someone smarter than us

So to be clear, Snapcharge will not work if the grip is not applied to the center of your phone.

If you missed this during the installation process, and you're like 😅, don't sweat it, there's still hope. All you will need is an Install Kit, not a new grip.

Be sure to follow these three steps when removing the old steel ring from your phone or case and our Ohsnap Guide for applying the new steel ring from the Install Kit. The latter part of that sentence is really important because who likes making the same mistake twice? 🤷‍♂️ No one. Ever. 

4️⃣🛡️ Case Thickness

Whether it's our health, our house, or our phone, we all want protection 😷🏡📱

In creating the ohsnap grip, we did not, we repeat, did not, compromise the protection of your phone with the use of the grip. The best of both worlds does exist for you and your phone ✌.

The best way to have both is by using a case that is no more than 1.5mm thick. 

If do wish to maintain a case that is thicker than 1.5mm, here's what you need to know: at best, it will charge slowly, and at worst, it won’t charge at all.
